2009 - Year of the Goat | Well thats it for this year! All rugby has been played and the AGM has been held. The Billy's showed that experience is more important than training or warming up when they blizted the Kids in the annual Over 30's v Under 30's match 4 tries to 1.
Tickets are now on sale for the End of Season party! | | | | | End of Season Party - 6th September The 2008 End of Season Presentation Night has been booked for Saturday 6th September. Tickets are $40 and are on sale now at training or by ringing Joolz on 0430052487. All the trophies are up for grabs and it will be a great night to reminisce on a season that was. Get there at 7pm for the free hour of drinks.
Party at The Deen - 29th August The Goats Curtin University students are going to the Australian Universities Games! To help finance the trip they are having a party at The Deen in Northbridge on Friday 29th August. Entry is just $5 and proceeds go towards the expenses for the trip. The more people we get through the door, the better. Bring your mates, family, work colleagues or randoms you met at the pub the day before! Play Rugby in USA One of our Old Goats abroad has checked in from his home in the USA. Those of you who have been at the club a while would probably remember Chris Herzog the dashing yankee Hooker who was studying at Curtin as an exchange student. Chris now plays for Dallas RUFC and is looking for any rugby players who want to travel to the US. Free accommodation and even a job can be found for any intrepid travellers. Check out their website http://www.dallasrugby.org/ or email Chris on cherzog@swsystems.com to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity.  $$ Rugby Scholarships Presented $$ As an initiative to attract players intending to study at Curtin University, the club, in conjunction with the University’s Scholarships and Financial Aid Office, has developed an endowment type scholarship program for Colt aged players and/or club members. Thanks to generous sponsorship from our Sponsors, as well as a financial contribution from the club, $15,000 in scholarships have been awarded so far to Colt Aged players and members in 2008! Mark Arkell, Henry Asgill-Tucker, Tyron Benfell, Craig Best, Reagan Carpenter, Ed Johnson, Liam Pickering, Nathan Pollin, Colin Thompson, Brendan Tritton plus physios Tarryn Jackson and Anita McCrystal, and administrator Laura Rodriguez were all well-deserving recipients this season, so be sure to hit them up for a beer.
